The newsletter includes details of changes to our Management Committee and our new proposed President, Sue Smith and Secretary Naomi McQueen.
A special mention though for Michael and Karen Stapelfeldt, pictured above. Michael organises the advertising that makes our newsletter possible. Karen as Assistant Treasurer manages our membership details (currently over 430 and counting, as people renew for the newish financial year) – as well as maintaining the software that makes these emails possible. Karen is leaving the committee this year and will be greatly missed.
Personally, I’ve found the year as President stimulating and educational, but as I write in the newsletter believe it’s best if these leadership roles are rotated on a regular basis to spread knowledge and experience across the organisation.
In the meantime, I’ve nominated as Vice-President and look forward to supporting the new President and Secretary.
