Final Call for Golf Day Entries!

September 12, 2026

I hope you are having a great start to the weekend.

Golf Day is back –

Last Chance for tickets!

Calling all Twin Waters residents and keen golfers! This is a reminder that entries are

filling up fast. Our annual Golf Day returns to Twin Waters Golf Club on Sunday 27th September 2026, and we cannot wait to get out on the

fairways with you.

This event simply wouldn’t happen without the generous support of our local

business sponsors, and we want to thank them for backing our community once

again. Their generosity means great prizes for our winning golfers, plus fantastic

door prizes for everyone who plays.

A big thank you to our Major Sponsor, Colin Cameron from Sotheby’s International

Realty, along with Twin Waters Pharmacy, The Loose Goose Restaurant, Drummond

Golf Maroochydore, Bendigo Bank Marcoola, Twin Waters Golf Club, The Cock &

Hen, North Shore Tavern, Community Connect and Florentina’s Trattoria Restaurant & Bar.

This year’s format is a 2-person Ambrose, with a shotgun start at 8.00am. Please bring your official G.A (Golf Australia handicap) with you if you have one, but

if not, we will be having a maximum handicap for the gents and ladies for this

Ambrose event. Rules of play will be provided with your score card, golf cart and

starting tee when you register in the morning. Check in no later than 7.30am for an 8am start.

After the game we will have a few words from our sponsors, exchange bragging

rights with our friends and give out the well-deserved prizes. To reduce wait times for any after game meal orders, TWGC has recommended that lunch orders can be taken and paid from their menu prior to the start so they are underway when you finish and you’re ready to relax.

North Shore Community Disaster Management Network

Twin Waters Residents ‘Association has been invited to be part of an alliance of community groups, led by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council, to act as an additional communication channel for residents during periods of disaster or emergency.

This group does not replace any emergency services, legislated services, council responsibilities or any government functions. The group is there to serve the communities by providing information through existing residents’ associations and other community groups. Given the many channels for communicating information (printed newsletters, social media, TV, radio, emails, notice boards, etc.), Council is looking to find as many ways as possible to reach people in the medium/platform they feel comfortable with in the event of an emergency.

Other members of the network are: Mudjijmba Residents’ Association, Seaside Shores Community Association, Marcoola Community Group, North Shore Community Centre, Mudjimba Community Garden, Apex Camps, State Emergency Service, Pacific Paradise Progress Association.

At our Annual General Meeting we welcomed a speaker from Council to explain some of the processes of Council in relation to natural disasters and emergency response. One of the considerations is weather forecasting, here is the link to Bureau of Meteorology’s latest long-range forecast (October to December 2026) Climate long-range forecasts
