Halloween

A few tips!

Hi Members

Our friends at Neighbourhood Watch have asked us to send you this information regarding Halloween which is coming up on Tuesday 31st October.

NHW appreciate that many residents in Twin Waters may choose not to participate in Halloween, however for families who do go ‘trick or treating”, Twin Waters Neighbourhood Watch recommends some “good neighbour” guidelines:

  • If you welcome Trick or Treaters please leave your front light on or some Halloween decorations out.

  • Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult and well supervised.

  • Try keeping your trick and treating in daylight hours between 4.30pm and 6pm.

  • Walk on the footpath and not the road and wear reflective strips or patches.

  • Only approach homes which have placed a Halloween decoration in their garden/front door to indicate they are participating.

  • Respect the homes and gardens of all residents.

  • Be thankful for lollies or treats which should be commercially wrapped individual lollies. Do not leave lolly wrappers around the streets!

  • Report any concerns about personal safety issues to Policelink 131 444

If families prefer to attend a registered event, many are listed on: https://www.familiesmagazine.com.au/halloween-sunshine-coast/

Happy trick or treating!
