Good morning Members
The Maroochy North Shore Lions Club invites you to join them as they clean up the beach on Saturday 1st April, at 8.00am.
Their objective is simple; to collect and remove as much plastic as possible from the beaches from Discovery beach in the north to Twin Waters beach in the south.
This will also enable community members the opportunity to contribute and socialise and enjoy the beach and some exercise.
The Lions will set up at Mudjimba in the park and will provide reusable bags. People will be divided into two groups. One walking south from Mudjimba to Twin Waters beach and back. The other walking north from Mudjimba to Discovery beach and back. Bags containing the rubbish will be returned to the Lions muster point for appropriate disposal of the plastic.
We are keeping as casual as possible remembering the main objectives. We want to have fun while making a difference.
