Mary-Helen Boag

Treasurer

Mary-Helen and her husband David emigrated from Scotland in 1982 and set up home in Melbourne.  After a couple of moves to North East Victoria (Wangaratta & Rutherglen) and many holidays to the Sunshine Coast, they stumbled across Twin Waters in August 2015, after a walk on the North Shore beach with Rufus, their Australian Terrier.  They immediately fell in love with the tranquil, sub-tropical location and moved here in March 2016.

Mary-Helen has had a long career as a Supply Chain specialist working for blue chip Australian companies such as Uncle Tobys, Ansett, Fosters, and across Australasia for Heinz Watties and Twinings Teas.  She obtained her Graduate Diploma in Business Logistics from Monash University in 1990, being the only woman to obtain a place within the Asia Pacific region at that time.  She is also a past Rotarian, Area Manager for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal and took care of the accounts for her local Information Centre in Rutherglen.

She joined the TWRA committee in July 2016 and quickly became involved with the Birthday in the Park sub-committee.  When the role of treasurer became vacant in October, she immediately volunteered and now ensures all our money matters, together with membership management, are well taken care of.

Mary-Helen is thoroughly enjoying being part of Twin Waters’ friendly community, and can be seen kayaking in our waterways and cycling or walking the beautiful pathways with David & Rufus, so please say Hi!
