As promised, here is link to the Development Application material for Twin Waters West which has been uploaded to Council’s website.

As a refresher, there’s a good overview of the TWRA’s involvement in first opposing the development and later, shaping the potential outcome in our June 2022 newsletter which you can view here

The development application process includes a period where you will have the opportunity to make submissions regarding the development (both negative and positive).  The time for making those submissions or comments has not yet commenced, however we will let you know what that period does start.

At a glance, there are some key changes from the last submission in 2019:

  • there will be no medium density areas (in the 2019 submission they looked to be similar to View Point and Water Gallery);
  • there will be a connection to the existing Twin Waters estate via Esperance Drive from Twin Waters West
  • block sizes will be no less than 500m2 and an average of 700m2 or more
  • there is a greater buffer around the wetland area
  • there is a kangaroo refuge area with viewing pods
