Twin Waters West

The future of Twin Waters West is of significant interest to Twin Waters residents.  So far there have been three distinct phases, with a fourth phase that has just commenced:

  • The First Proposal and its defeat – 2007 to 2013 (TWW # 1)
  • The Town Planning Amendment – 2014 to 2018
  • The Second Proposal and its defeat – 2019 to 2022 (TWW # 2)
  • The Third Proposal - DA lodged on 11 May 2023 (TWW # 3)

2006 Airport Draft Master Plan

June 27, 2018

TWRA had a significant impact on the SCA’s 2006 Draft Master Plan, resulting in it being withdrawn and redone to put the East-West Runway into the Strategic Plan. The first draft plan in 2006 proposed that the small, narrow, North-South Runway be extended at each end within the boundaries by approx. 190 metres overall.
